How To Root HTC Explorer Pico and Install CWM

Prerequisite:

1. Your mobile should have 70 – 80% battery

2. Make sure that you have enabled USB debugging (All apps > Settings > Manage Applications > Development > USB Debugging – check box)

3. Ensure you have backed up your important data.

4. Your phone bootloader must be unlocked.

5. Install HTC Explorer Pico drivers from here.

How to Root HTC Explorer?

Step 1: Download this HTCa310eRecovery.zip and extract the zip on your desktop, to install CWM on HTC Explorer Pico.

Step 2: Switch off your phone and boot it into “recovery mode” by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Power Button“. After entering in to recovery mode, select “Fasboot“.

Step 3: Connect your phone via USB cable on your computer.

Step 4: Now, from the extracted folder locate and open “Recovery.bat” file and from the android menu select first option in the “3 android menu”.

Till here, you have install CWM on HTC Explorer Pico. Now to root HTC Explorer Pico follow the below steps.

Step 5: After all the process gets over, download this Superuser file and place it into external SD card.

Step 6: Switch off your phone once again and boot in “recovery mode” by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Power Button“. After entering in to recovery mode, select “Recovery”.

Step 7: In to recovery menu, select “install zip from SD card” and locate the “Superuser file” to root your phone.

Step 8: IT will takes few minutes, after all the process gets completed reboot your phone.

That’s it! You have rooted your HTC Explorer Pico as well as installed CWM on it.     it’s work perfectly but I have 1 problem.
    after the root my htc. I was do factory reset and mobile restarted but my htc explorer not started.. It’s showing only white screen with write HTC.. :(.. I show my HTC to H/W eng. but not solve my problem..
    Now what I do?? If you have any method to start htc then tell and help me..

      Can you boot into Stock Recovery? If yes then from there “Format/Data” and wipe Cache partition and your problem will be solved :)

            I have the same problem. Just followed the above, and now I can only see the white screen with htc logo. By pulling the battery out, I can enter the stock recovery, but if I press recovery there, it just gets me to the new recovery tool. The stock factory reset does not help. Neither does the wipe data/factory reset or cache cleaning in the new recovery tool… The first i did was a backup there too, but does not seem to help.

            Please help if you have any ideas, maybe flashing some simple rom to start with? Just to get it to work.

    after going in to recovery mode its showing pico symbol with red triangle wt does dat mean and how to solve the issue

        i did it but now the same problem……..i unable to reboot my phone white screen with htc logo is appearing i’ve tried “format/data” “wipe cache partition” but nothing happened..is it necessary to have a memory card more then 2GB…??????????pls help
