5. Download file .

Easy Steps to root :

Step 1. Install drivers on your computer.

Step 2: Extract “Odin” and “CF-Root Package” on the desktop to root Galaxy S4 I9505.

Step 3: Now, switch off your phone to boot it into Odin/Download mode by pressing and holding Volume down + Home + Power Key (long Press), till you see the Android Logo on screen. And then press the Power key to enter download mode.

Step 4: Open the “Odin.exe” and then connect your phone to computer via USB cable. As soon as you connect, ID:COM box in Odin turns light green/yellow color.

Step 5: Now, click on PDA button and select PDA file (.tar.md5) from the extracted folder.

Step 6: Make sure that only F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot boxes are checked on Odin. Don’t check any other boxes.

Step 7: Click on Start button on Odin to start installation process. It will take upto 5 – 8 minutes, so please wait for the installation finish.

Step 8: Finally, you will get PASS! Notification on the ID: COM box and then your device will reboot automatically and now you can unplug your phone from computer.

    Hello, the check box for F. Reset time is shaded along with all the rest under options. only Auto Reboot is checked, how do I fix it?

    Fails every time i try, i correct the coding so that F. Reset is checked(replaced a “0″ with a “1″ checked PDA and .tar.md5 file. fails within a few mins. didnt brick the phone though. one thing im not really sure about though is under ‘Build number’ in ABOUT DEVICE. there is something that say SELinux status: Permissive. would that have anything to do with it?

    Hi Sohil, need ur help for my i9505. It shutsdown on its own. Bettery gets drained rapidly (Thou ive got a new battery as well). Phone is very slow.Please help what shld i do.Samsung india cannot help as i got this phone from HK, Im not going back to HK now.

    All worked as described, but it only took max 30 seconds. Could it because of USB 3.0 on the PC ?
    How can i check if the root was succesful ?

      If you can give permission to any root aaps or you can check the root by installing Root Checker form the Google Play Store.
